DIY Wine Cork Garden Markers

Just add this as one more reason to pick up a bottle – or two – of wine this weekend and invite the girls over! These DIY wine cork garden markers are too cute, and what a great way to repurpose something that would otherwise end up in the trash.

If you’re not a super crafty person, then this is the craft for you because the materials you need are just a handful of corks and a sharpie. The natural look of the cork is a total vibe all on its own, paired with your best penmanship, and there you go! Pop these bad boys onto some wooden skewers, and your DIY markers are garden-ready.

DIY Rock Garden Markers

DIY garden markers with the craft supplies from nature – because nothing beats a crafty project that costs basically nothing to make! Scour the backyard or neighborhood for some nice-looking rocks – bonus points if you find some that already resemble vegetable shapes! But ideally, it’s best to pick smooth and flat ones. For outdoor gardens, it’s best to find large rocks, but for a small indoor herb garden or patio containers, you can use rocks on the smaller side.

You will need to wash the rocks with a bit of dish soap and then leave them overnight to dry. Once dried, use a clear sealant to seal the rocks before painting on them. Alternatively, you could prime them with white paint, which would make your paint colors pop! For outdoor garden markers, make sure to use outdoor paint so that they withstand the elements.

After your rocks are primed, it’s time for painting! Here is where you can really let your creativity shine. With the only limit being your imagination, you could go as simple as writing “carrot” or as complex as actually painting a carrot. Once your beautifully painted DIY garden markers have completely dried, finish them off with a couple of coats of Mod Podge Outdoor to keep them looking their best for years to come!

DIY Clothespin Garden Markers

These adorable clothespin garden markers would be perfect for an indoor kitchen garden. All you need for this project are a handful of clothespins and some nice craft paper. Practice your calligraphy by writing out the garden yummies you want to plant this year, then simply cut them out and clip them to your clothespin.

Simple yet versatile, you can make this craft your own by getting as creative as you want! Opt for a natural look or paint your clothespins in all the hues of the rainbow. If your handwriting is messy, you could print out your labels instead. This DIY craft is also something that can easily be done with the kids.

These are just a few fun DIY garden markers, but honestly, you can make them out of pretty much anything, which is more than ideal for us while we’re stuck inside dreaming of warmer weather!
